Definition of Ultraviolet (UV)

  1. In nail technology, it refers to the long wave, UV-A portion of the spectrum of light, which is 350-400nm (nano-meters). UV-B rays are found at 250-275nm. Visible light is what we see as light and colors – from violet on the low end to red at the high end – it is just above UV-A at 400-780nm.
