Definition of NFPA Hazard Classification

  1. National Fire Protection Agency rating for chemicals in four classifications: Health, Flammability, Reactivity, and Other. Ratings are from zero to four in each area. Zero means no danger, while a rating of 4 means extreme danger potential.
