Nail Biting

Definition of Nail Biting

  1. Nail biting is just what it sounds like, but its effects on a client’s personal and nail health can be long-term and damaging. Starting usually as just a bad habit, nail biting can often turn into a psychological disorder, where clients bite their nails so far down that they draw blood, damage the nail matrix, and cause the nail bed to be completely unprotected. There are many techniques available to nail technicians to help nail biters, including sculpting, no-bite potions, and simply working closely with clients on regular manicures and personal awareness.
