Definition of Hydroxyl Ethyl Methacrylate (HEMA)

  1. Hydroxyl Ethyl Methacrylate (HEMA): HEMA is a protein specific monomer that will seek out and firmly attach itself to the protein in the nail plate. HEMA is used as an additive to improve adhesion.
